About Audrey

My name is Audrey. I’m a mother of 2 (my daughter is 21 and my son is 18). I have been married to my high school sweetheart for over 24 years! We have 2 big 90lb Golden-doodles and I work full-time in accounting/finance. I also have a part-time job 1 night a week. Aside from my family, my true passion is TRAVEL – or ANYTHING that allows us to get away as a family, a couple, or with friends! That ‘getaway’ could be a trip to Italy, any beach, a comedy show, a bike ride at a park, etc!
I don’t have a fun story of how we sold everything, purchased a one-way ticket, packed up & now living out of a suitcase, backpack, or RV (although I’m not going to lie, I have thought of it all). I’m just your everyday working mom/wife/daughter/friend, etc. who has always had a yearning and passion to see the world and do different things! Although I have places I want to travel (Cough, Cough – Fiji & Bora Bora), I didn’t create a bucket list and quit my job to live off adventure (again, have totally thought about it MANY times.

I get a natural high when planning our next vacation or local adventure. I thought about changing my career and becoming a travel agent/advisor, however, when COVID hit, I found myself watching and leaning on other bloggers as a ‘break from everyday life.’ Also, after 2 friends called me in 1 week asking my advice on travel, I thought – that’s it I’ll blog/document our travels and adventures. I thought if I could inspire someone to travel, take an adventure, or show them a sliver of the globe while allowing them to escape their monotony, that would put a smile on my face I love to go to different places & try new things, so I hope to inspire you and allow you to have your own fun story of new adventures to tell!
Travel and adventures don’t have to be expensive. There are some tips and tricks I have learned along the way & would love to share! I want this to be interactive & learn what you have done or where you have gone! With that being said, I not only want to inspire others, and show them different places, but also trade tips and tricks on your adventures!
